She and her sister’s trips to Disney helped them save money on accommodations. Now, they’ll stay for longer – primarily over the weekends – but they share their hotel room, which is frequently at a bargain resort. They also split the costs of ridesharing, according to Gramlich.

‘Always keeps you coming back’

Gramlich has been to Disney World on several occasions throughout the epidemic. She noticed how the park has continuously re-opening, or opening new attractions, since then.

“This has just been a way… to add a little bit of magic into your life.”

“Every time we go, we discover new things,” Gramlich said. “There are always new experiences to discover and it becomes your favorite park or activity.”

Gramlich’s favorite attractions at Disney World now include the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride in Hollywood Studios and the Ohana restaurant in Magic Kingdom for breakfast.

Trudie Gramlich called her monthly trips to Disney World “a little piece of heaven” and said they have provided much-needed comfort in recent years.
