I’ve been meaning to try out The Southern Proper in Aventura for a while now, and I’m excited by their Steakhouse-style menu items like the Black Tartare. My husband is a huuuge fan of Miami Beach’s Plantation Island Grill, where he claims that the fried chicken is better than any other restaurant on earth (except for Georgia Brown’s Backstage Kitchen). With a view like this, it’s hard not to want to dine here. When it comes down to it, though, I chose The Florida Room because I was already familiar with its famous steak dishes from dining at California Grill in Los Angeles. It also happens to be one of my splurge-worthy restaurants on my list. Nothing beats

The 50th Anniversary Celebration Menu at California Grill costs $89 per person. One appetizer, one entree, and one dessert are included. However, there are wine pairings. Signature wine choices start at $39 per person and go up to $69 for “deluxe” status. Each dish is matched with a specific wine, which makes them even better.
