For one thing, it’s a one-time opportunity. The limited-time special menu is bringing visitors back to 1971, when the Top of the World restaurant opened on the top floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort as part of WDW’s 18-month celebration of its 50th anniversary.
Today, California Grill — which is known for its views of Magic Kingdom Park and the Seven Seas Lagoon and serves sushi, steaks, and outstanding vantage points for evening fireworks—is located in Anaheim, California. Chefs will be offering new dishes like wild Alaskan halibut with charred avocado and mole verde, as well as anniversary-inspired selections from the ’70s such as Florida blue crab bisque on the limited-time menu. The party lasts until March 2023, after which this unique menu will also come to a close.
