Asare: How has the experience of raising a young girl changed from when you were younger, given that now you have a daughter?

Grant: There’s a difference. First, the choice of which brand to purchase is an individual one; you must consider your own hair and skin type before selecting a product or service.

There was really no place to be unapologetically Black and wear your crowns without someone criticising or making you feel less of a king. We now see many different hair products because to this, we have so many children with various colors of skin, Black books, a lot of representation in media, which I think is important, and the CROWN Act. I give a lot of credit and praise to the CROWN Act for being a voice for so many individuals because that affects everyone throughout the world.
