Since the wolf left Czechia, the Polish organization Stowarzyszenie dla Natury Wilk has been tracking him. The wolf fell in love with a female shortly after his arrival, and they have been frequently photographed together since then. They’ve both been extensively marking their territory, implying that they may have started a family. Nonetheless, the cubs have not yet been seen.

“His journey validates the capacity of wolves to rapidly migrate long distances in a short amount of time. It also demonstrates the value of worldwide collaboration on big carnivore research and conservation. We were given irreplaceable data about wolf travel routes thanks to the collar’s GPS technology,” according to Šelmy.cz.
