In May, scientists from the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna and the Czech nature organization Ć tracked the young male wolf’s global trek using a GPS collar after he left his home country.

The 2-year-old wolf traveled just 14 days through the Czech Republic’s Moravian region and crossed two busy roads on his perilous journey. Cars are one of the biggest threats to wild wolves, and another wolf was injured not far from this wolf’s route.
