The Jamaica Constabulary Force said an investigation will be conducted.

“The statements of the young woman and her mother are being taken seriously by the high command because they appear to be rather significant, therefore they are being dealt with as such,” it added.

The statement added, “The removal of individuals’ hair – particularly that of Rastafarians – has NO role in the modern police force.”
