Washing new / baby dreads
Wait seven days before washing your dreads for the first time if they’re new. If you have an itchy or oily scalp and don’t feel comfortable anymore during that seven-day period, you can wash your baby locs gently.
Please keep in mind that washing new dreads may make them appear looser and more chaotic. But don’t worry, this is only natural. If you don’t wash your locs because you believe they’ll get dirty, you’ll just wind up with gunk and build-up that will harm you even more! Learn how to clean your dreadlocks properly!
