Tafari is the first talking and motivational Black boy doll in the world, as well as the world’s first Patois-speaking doll. Toya was the world’s first Patois-speaking doll.

Tafari and Toya are both from Jamaica, according to their backstory, although Toya immigrated to the United Kingdom with her parents while Tarfari stayed on the island with his grandparents. Tafari is now a member of the family in England, where he may use his communication abilities as a motivational affirmation for children throughout the world not to be discouraged by their skin color or social standing when aiming for their objectives.
