Philomina Kane’s natural hair journey has turned her into a successful entrepreneur.

Rachel is a 26-year-old entrepreneur from Toronto who recently became a guest on ABC’s Shark Tank after launching KIN Apparel, a satin-lined hoodie business for folks with kinky and coily natural hair.

Many years of trial and error with her own hair have brought her current success.

“At a young age, my hair was always permanently straight,” Kane told Philadelphia’s WPVI-TV. “And that’s been the case for a lot of Black women.”
